Boston, MA.
- Performed his Residency at the University
of Southern California/Doheny Eye Institute Los Angeles, CA.
- Graduated Summa Cum Laude and received his Bachelor
of Science in Biology from Morehouse College in Atlanta, GA.
- Attended the Institute of European Studies, in
Vienna, Austria.
- Holds memberships in the American Academy of
Ophthalmology, American Society of Cataract & Refractive Surgery, the
Charlotte Medical Society, the NC Medical Society, and the American
Board of Ophthalmology of which he is Board Certified.

Where he received the Navy Commendation medal and two Navy Achievement

- He also received the Julia Dykman
Andrus Fellowship in Surgical Research, and the American Heart
Association Research Fellowship.

Forces Health Professions Scholarship and the Merill Overseas
Scholarship.
- He is a Phi Beta Kappa member as well as a Beta Kappa Chi Science Honor Society inductee.
